Join us for National Voter Registration Day, September 24!

The Library is coordinating with a number of groups on Grounds to offer voter registration opportunities on Tuesday, September 24.

You may not realize…

  • ANY UVA student who is a citizen is permitted to register to vote in Virginia.
  • If you have an ID from the Virginia DMV you can register or update your information online. (Don’t have a Virginia ID? No problem! You can use the paper form. Come see us on the 24th and we’ll be happy to help!)
  • November 5, 2019, is a BIG ELECTION in Virginia: Control of the state legislature is up for grabs, which will affect big issues in our state, like education funding, energy, and the environment.
  • Two years ago a race in Virginia was—truly—decided with a flip of a coin as a result of a tie. Your vote matters.
