What are some ways you work with faculty and students?

Nawang Thokmey

Most of the time my assistance with the students and faculty is long term. Such as: Fall 2017- Spring 2019, every Friday, I teach one on one, the function, nature of mind and emotions for undergraduate students. During this same time period, every other Monday, I taught one on one for one of the library staff.

What’s a key message you’d like people at UVA to know about the Library?

The library is a resource for everything you need for your papers, research, dissertations, etc.

Enthusiastic endorsements…

“Mr. Thokmey provided a professional, knowledgeable, and grounded discussion on a subject that is important, even vital, to us all.”

“Nawang was gracious enough to take time to listen to my ideas about the projects; he then reached out to other resources to see if there were additional texts he could make available to me. Nawang also made sure that I had quiet study areas during the time I spent at the Library, and that I would be able to access the texts even on the weekend, which was very helpful to me.”

“[Nawang has] have gone far above and beyond their responsibilities, responding quickly to requests for information and copies of texts.  …. Without Nawang’s help, we would not have been able to finish this project.  We cannot praise their contributions enough.”
