Please welcome Joseph Azizi, the new Stacks Coordinator for the Small Special Collections Library. Joseph has been working in the Law Library, shifting stacks and upgrading the shelving for the Law Library’s Public Documents. He has also been involved with digitizing, cleaning, repairing, and housing archival materials in their special collections. He comes to us with a Master’s degree from Brandeis in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies and is fluent in a number of languages such as Farsi, Hebrew, French, German, and Arabic.
The Library also welcomes Jeremy Garritano as a Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) Librarian. Jeremy will begin on February 22 working in Academic Engagement to build on the Library’s collaboration with faculty, staff, and student researchers in Science and Engineering. Jeremy comes to us from the White Memorial Chemistry Library at University of Maryland, College Park where he served as the Life Sciences and Research Data Librarian. Prior to that, Jeremy spent ten years at the M. G. Mellon Library of Chemistry at Purdue University. He holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Purdue and an M.L.S. from Indiana University.
